Chesapeake Medical Systems
Chesapeake Medical Systems was founded in 1987 on a simple premise… offer superior Service and Radiology products at a reasonable price, and respond to our customer’s needs better than any other company is willing to! We called it “Plan A”!
CMS founders, Michael Halsey, Sr. & David Harris, both have a technical engineering background and have been in the Radiology service business for 65 years, collectively. Mike and Dave realized that the local X-Ray service companies simply were not providing the First Class on-site service their customers demanded and deserved. Prior to CMS coming into existence, service response priority was a matter of who the customer was. These companies believed that a veterinarian’s equipment problem is not as important as a Rad room was to a major hospital! They were determined to change this, and, in 1987, formed CMS. Michael Halsey, Sr. passed away in November 2014. CMS is now headed up by founder David Harris and Michael Halsey, Jr.
Within a year, CMS was a dealer for all of the major manufacturers, Radiology product distributors, and film companies. Our customers drove this growth, as they wanted to deal with CMS. They quickly saw that CMS was willing and able to do anything to keep their equipment running, and to prevent them from running out of procedural products.
Proudly celebrating 30 years of growth and success, CMS is servicing 8 states (MD, DE, VA, PA, NJ, NC, WV, NY) and Washington, D.C. Our staff of (28) Field Service engineers and office staff is comprised of highly qualified professionals who share Mike and Dave’s philosophy regarding excellent service and uncompromised customer satisfaction.
Our Analog & Digital Radiology product offerings are simply unlimited. We enjoy a formal working relationship with all of the major O.E.M.’s, allowing us to provide the proper replacement parts & service skills for Siemens, G.E., Philips, etc.
We employ a staff of highly trained professionals in (2) warehousing & delivery logistics divisions to keep the product “Pipeline” flowing smoothly.
CMS also firmly believes in constantly up-dating the skills of our Field Engineering staff through formal training on new products and systems. This enables us to offer a broader base of equipment knowledge to our customers who prefer our level of service over other companies in our area.
The ever-changing imaging market has finally brought us to Digital Imaging. CMS has a staff of highly trained computer and imaging Service Engineers specifically dedicated to all phases of digital imaging. Whether it’s CR, DR, Networking, PACS or the many peripheral products required to make everything work properly, we have the connections, the products and the people to solve virtually any digital situation you may have.
Our new website demonstrates the breadth of our digital & analog equipment offerings and Technical Services. Please visit us at www.chesapeakemed.com.
In summary, we have never deviated from “PLAN A”, our original mission of providing the best service possible. We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide this level of service to your department.
