For offices with a relatively low patient volumes that don’t demand a fast paced scanner, the Vita LE is a low-cost, high-quality system.

The industry standard for many years has been the Vita CR, a mid-range scanner that can read 50 14×17″ cassettes per hour (faster for smaller sizes). For higher-volume sites, to include imaging centers and small hospitals, Carestream has added a 69 plates per hour Vita XE scanner.

All Vita systems are designed to produce diagnostic images immediately with the option of completing image optimization easily according to user preference. Vita CR Systems offer a variety of options to enhance productivity and satisfy specialized imaging needs. These options include: long-length imaging, CD/DVD output; modality worklist, mini-PACS software and a dental panoramic module. Users can also purchase Carestream’s DIRECTVIEW Total Quality Tool (a phantom test kit, user guide, and analysis software) to eliminate the need for expensive third-party quality certification testing.

All members of the Vita CR family share accessories, software and hardware which allows for seamless transitions from one system to another in a multi-CR facility and/or across multiple facilities using different models. Each Vita CR system supports seven different cassette sizes at standard resolution and four cassette sizes in high resolution.
